OCD Therapy
Obsessive-Compulsive Disorder (OCD) can feel relentless and mentally draining. Intrusive thoughts, fears, or “what if” scenarios may become difficult to let go of, leading to compulsions such as checking, reassurance-seeking, avoidance, rumination, or repetitive behaviours meant to reduce anxiety or create certainty. Even when the thoughts feel irrational, the distress they create can feel very real.
Many people with OCD carry significant shame around their thoughts and keep their experiences hidden out of fear of being judged or misunderstood. In reality, OCD is not about weakness or wanting attention — it is often rooted in fear, uncertainty, and a nervous system that struggles to fully settle.
Therapy for OCD focuses on helping you break the cycle between obsessive thoughts and compulsive behaviours while building a greater sense of emotional tolerance and self-trust. Using approaches such as CBT, ERP, mindfulness, and trauma-informed care, the goal is to help you feel less controlled by fear and more present in your daily life.
